It’s the very attractive aspects of joining the most profitable affiliate programs, ironically, that is the real problem with affiliate marketing. While it’s hands down the easiest way to start an online business, the failure rate remains way too high. Even when you join the most profitable affiliate programs they seem to give you everything you need to get started and making some serious money.

Therein lies the problem. It makes people lazy! Yes, I said it! People actually go around the web posting their affiliate link anywhere the sites will allow them. And they sit and wait for the money to show up. I kid you not.
These same people, work their tails off 40+ hours a week at their 9-5. How ironic.
Key Point: A majority of people who join affiliate programs never get THEIR OWN DOMAIN NAME AND WEBSITE!
It’s a sad fact. Most aspiring internet marketers won’t even invest in their own “piece of internet real estate”. Show me an online affiliate marketer without their own domain name and website and I’ll show you someone who is mostly spinning their wheels.

People don’t buy or join because of a great sales page. These are historically documented, proven facts. Unless you have a household name like, Amazon, E-Bay or something like that, people are too skeptical to buy from a flashy sales page.
Plus, people won’t find your flashy sales page from their use of search engines either. Search engine don’t list affiliate “replica” pages. So unless you have a fortune to spend on advertising, you need to find a way to get yourself found in search engines. Hence, the need for your own domain name and website.
